An ancient war horse, having lost its rider is now forced to wander through the rain alone.
*Constructive criticism is appreciated, any feedback is. This manip took me forver but I was very pleased with the result. The mane, tail, rain, as well as all of the tack were hand drawn by me without any reference photos.

Very nice job with the mane and tail! I've tried drawing my own manes and tails before, and I have to say that I really can't do it. It looks pretty nice. ^^. The tack strapped onto the horse also looks realistic, and I like the entire feel of it.
One suggestion that I have with this is to possibly make the horse a bit darker? Since the background has dark clouds and rain pelting down, the horse somewhat stands out in its light colored pelt.
I also think that you could add a shadow. Even though it is raining, perhaps a really faint one of the horse would be nice.
I think you've done a nice job grounding the horse and erasing away some of the hoof, though. You've made it appear as if the ground and grass has texture, and as if the hooves are sinking down slightly into it.
